Default Petition to Increase Ignore List Size

Many or almost all of you have ran into the same problem in Guild Wars: so many jerks, not enough space to hold them all. Just today for instance I had to remove an old jerk from my ignore list to make room for a new one. I figured, "this guy has been on here so long he doesn't remember me, so I should be safe". Lo and behold 3 minutes after I remove him he starts PMing me with the line "I have cmoe to steel your pickel". Don't ask me what he's talking about, he's probably 12, bought his account with a rank 10, and has no idea what he's doing.

Back to the manner at hand. I wish to start at petition in the hopes that Gaile or another A.net admin will see this and percieve the problem as we see it. If there is already a petition for this on Guru, I apologize to the admins but I could not find it in search.

Personally I think there shouldn't be a size for the ignore list, or at least it should have one slot for every player in GW, but that's unrealistic. Increasing the list by 20-90 should be sufficient. If you are for the idea, /signed is appropriate, if not, no post is necessary.

/notsigned.

Do what I do, place them on Ignore, then remove them after five minutes, If they still PM you, then you know for a fact they are Dark Basement Masterbators With no lives.

Or you could try and be nicer to people. That also always works.

This was talked about before but you shoud try switching who you ignore. Or if a person on the friends list hasn't even talked to you in forever, you can take him off to fix it.

Maybe someday Anet will realise that people want to ignore more than 10 people among the 1000s who play...

Um, asking people not post if they don't want this is like saying I only wanna hear who agrees with me, no other opinions matter. I personally don't have a problem with with the ignore list so

I don't atm have a problem with my ignore list... BUT many times I have to choose between putting an idiot on the list or scammers... both are in abundance but which one hurts me more.... In a way its equal in my head so I think upping the ignore list would help me to be able to better ignore scammers and idiots and that would make me happy XD

Mezmo I think he is just trying to avoid flames or debates is all - if the general populace likes the idea then the OPs thread will explode with posts - if not it will barely make two pages. However by saying don't post he gets answers like yours even though polite and he's trying to avoid any arguments but saying that likely stirred the pot more than just letting everyone have their opinion....

I hate ppl who just pm you to annoy the shit out of you. You should be able to fit an equal amount of ppl on ignore list as you would with your friends list. There's a ton of griefers who lose in pvp and do nothing but pm you on how you suck/cheated etc. To those ppl i say cry more please. Same applies to other queers who can't stand the fact you won't buy/sell an item for a certain amount of money and spam you trying to force you to give in.

At least double the size of the ignore list. Doesn't need to be 100 ppl limit or w/e (20 person limit sounds fine imo) To the ppl who say, 'oh you could just delete them from the list' oh um gee I didn't think of that Some ppl just have no life and decide to just keep on annoying you. BTW Anet Devs You might want to fix a strange bug I have been experiencing lately. Individuals who are on my ignore list have somehow found a way to pm me even though I'm ignoring them on the very same account. I say this here since i haven't gotten a response in the 2 weeks since reporting this bug.

If your ignore list is full, and some old jerk you want to remove from your list still griefs you, do like I do: make him put you on his ignore list instead.

The larger the capacity for the ignore list, the better.

For now if you're out of space and find trouble, you could put yourself "offline."

I dont understand how people not sign this. And I dont understand WHY there is a limit on ignoring either! Who cares wheter I ignore just 1 guy, or the entire Guild Wars. Thats up to me isnt it.

I hate ppl who put me the ignore list, and all of them are HUGE jerks. Its usually when im buying something, i ask them wat price and i say that i don't have enough and offer them a lower price... WTF, WHY WOUL PPL IGNORE YOU BECAUSE YOU DISAGREE IN PRICING XP.

Don't get me wrong, the ignore list is a godsend for those little kids .... but i hate when jerks use it. Personally I think that the maximum is OK. Anet just wants us to have fun...not be rude to other people that we disagree with (regardless if *he started it*).

Lol, Lyra got RED ENGINE GO'd. I guess you should watch your language.

I personally have a rather memerable name, so I would expect many morons to rember it and bug me. However, most people I have put on my ignore list have not bugged me a week afterwards when I remove their name from my list.
I guess I'm just lucky, or people on Euro servers actually have lives, and so don't bother with dumb stuff like whispering a guy who got them mad a week ago.

But, the main reason I clear out people after a week, is because I know the list has a limit. So even though it doesn't do anything for me;

How many ppl do you think do that??? There might be a few ppl like that, but I highly doubt that the whole pop of GW ignores you because you offer a lower price.

/signed even though I don't necissarily need it. BTW, there aren't any good reasons to not increase it.

More data per account stored more server required to store it.

I know it can be near zero to the server to handle 10 - 20 - 30 - 100 people on 1 person ignore list...but we gotta mutiply it by 2 000 000.

AND even if it still was near nothing, its still useless server space that could ve been put to a better use.

The ignore list is just fine the way it is, so please, do not fix what is not broken, at least not until we fixed all the other important things.

Latter.

Just take someone off. They wont remember you anyway. Learn to to ignore idiots yourself. Dont let them get to you so easy.

Just take the old guys off your list. If you're ignoring more than 10 people at once... maybe the problem isn't with them. If you have people that have been ignored for more than a week, unignore them. Chances are they've forgotten about you.

No point to it.
